Care Tips for Chinese/Lucky Bamboo:
*1. Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light.Avoid direct sunlight — it can scorch the leaves. Can tolerate low light, but growth may slow.
*2. Water:
If grown in water:Use distilled or filtered water (tap water with fluoride or chlorine can harm it).Change the water every 1–2 weeks.Water level should cover the roots but not drown the stalks.
If grown in soil:Keep soil slightly moist, not soggy.Water when the top inch feels dry.
*3. Container:
For water-grown: glass containers with pebbles for support.
For soil-grown: pot with drainage holes is best.
*4. Temperature & Humidity:
Ideal temperature: 65–90°F (18–32°C).Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.Likes moderate humidity but is fairly tolerant.
*5. Fertilizer:
Rarely needed.if desired, use a very diluted liquid houseplant fertilizer every couple of months.
*6. Pruning & Shaping:
Trim yellow leaves or overgrown stalks with clean scissors. You can shape it into spirals or braids with training and time.
7. Common Issues:Yellow leaves = too much sun, poor water quality, or over-fertilization.
Slimy roots = change water more often and clean the container.
