*Blooming Season: Mostly late winter to spring, often blooming in March*Light: Bright, indirect sunlight*Lifespan: Each flower spike can bloom for 2-3 months if cared for well
Care Tips:
*1. Light:
Needs bright but indirect sunlight. An east or north-facing window is ideal.Avoid direct sunlight—it may scorch the leaves.
*2. Watering:
Water once a week or when the potting mix feels dry.Avoid letting water sit in the crown of the plant (can lead to rot).Use room-temperature distilled or rainwater if possible (tap water with salts can harm roots).
*3. Humidity:
Orchids love humidity (50–70%).Mist the plant or use a humidity tray.Avoid misting the flowers directly to prevent spots or rot.
*4. Potting & Soil:
Use a well-draining orchid mix (typically bark, sphagnum moss, or coco husk).Needs a ventilated pot with drainage holes.
*5. Fertilizing:
Use a balanced orchid fertilizer (20-20-20) every 2 weeks while blooming, and monthly otherwise.Dilute the fertilizer to half strength.
*6. Temperature:
Prefers 18–24°C (65–75°F) during the day and slightly cooler at night.Avoid cold drafts or extreme heat.
*7. After Flowering:
Once flowers fall, don’t cut the spike immediately. Wait to see if it produces new buds.If the spike turns brown, cut it back to the base.
