Aglaonema (Chinese Evergreen) is a low-maintenance plant that thrives indoors. Here are some care tips to keep your Aglaonema healthy:
*Light
Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate low light.Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.
*Watering
Water when the top inch of soil feels dry.Keep the soil moist but not soggy to prevent root rot.Reduce watering in winter.
*Humidity & Temperature
Prefers high humidity, but adapts to normal indoor conditions.Ideal temperature: 18-27°C (65-80°F).Keep away from cold drafts and air conditioning vents.
*Soil & Fertilizer
Use a well-draining potting mix (peat-based mix is good).Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring-summer).
*Pruning & Maintenance
Remove yellow or damaged leaves to encourage new growth.Wipe leaves with a damp cloth to keep them clean.
*Pest Control
Watch out for mealybugs, spider mites, and aphids.Use neem oil or insecticidal soap if pests appear.
